The Verizon Innovative Learning Schools directed by Digital Promise initiative provides teachers and students in U.S. middle schools with always-available access to technology and empowers them to be content creators, adept problem-solvers, and responsible consumers of digital media and learning resources. We fully document the process so others can learn from the experiences of these schools.
A third of lower income households with children don’t have access to high-speed internet at home. This inequality only furthers the homework gap and can put low income students at a learning disadvantage. By giving students access to content, resources, and expertise in and out of school, we help underserved students develop the tools and confidence they need to become tomorrow’s innovators.
