During Engineers Week 2016, Bearden Middle School focused on the problem solving aspects of engineering and how to get students to think like an engineer. The school embraced this process and incorporated “thinkgineering” across subjects. This video shows one example of problem solving and engineering skills in a cantilever design project.

“It’s important to focus on problem solving because there are instances in real life where you can’t just call on your teacher to ask whether you’re doing it right.” –Kaitlyn, 7th grader at Bearden
