The principal at VIDA posed a question to teachers: if there were no rules, and no curriculum, what would you like to teach to a group of students? One teacher landed on cryptozoology–the study of creatures whose existence has not been proven. Students took on unique challenges such as figuring out how a creature might evolve, what features it might have, etc. They completed a “design a creature” project based on these questions and 3D printed models of their designs. This project allowed students to be extremely creative and come up with completely unique ideas!
